      About Us

We're Sowjanya and Shameer, kindergarten classmates who happened to meet again in high school and fall in love. This is our story. We soon broke up, but would hook-up again in college, This cycle repeated until we eventually got married!
We both went on to build successful careers at Microsoft and Adobe. Now, we're living our dream: retired early from the corporate world to do something with a tangible impact across a larger section of society, something that helps build equity.
Addressing youth unemployment really appealed to us. We did extensive research (with a lot of help from agents!) on how China managed to outpace India so significantly in per capita GDP over the last 30-40 years. Four decades ago, India and China started from a similar point: a large, unskilled population with a comparable per capita GDP. China strategically planned for where the world would be in 10-20 years, building out the necessary infrastructure, financial systems, and, crucially, a skilled labor force through large-scale vocational training. Having visited China multiple times over the last two decades, we've witnessed its incredible transformation firsthand!
We then looked at the most sought-after vocational training programs available today. Among the 4-5 popular options, we chose Geriatric Care Worker training. This suited India's strengths perfectly: it isn't dependent on additional infrastructure to generate jobs, and there's a growing need for these trained individuals in Europe and GCC countries, with easy and convenient work visas readily available. Plus, youth with minimal prior qualifications can be trained to become care workers in just 2-3 months. Incidentally, we discovered that Kerala's palliative care model, run through village-level volunteers, is praised worldwide. We partnered with Pallium India, an UN-recognized pioneer in palliative care, to build and deliver this course. Their certification is widely recognized and valued across care homes in India and abroad. Furthermore, CARE, the voluntary palliative care unit in Tirur, generously offered their state-of-the-art facility to conduct this course, allowing students to gain invaluable hands-on experience working directly with their doctors and nurses.
After successful completion of the course and certification, we'll work closely with students to place them in reputable jobs or assist them in pursuing opportunities abroad. Our core aim is to recruit students from underprivileged backgrounds and help mold them into professionals with a promising career path. Beyond the medical training, we want to impart a sense of belonging and equity in our students, and foster a self-supporting alumni network they'll be proud to represent. Sponsor a student. Pull an entire family out of poverty. Build our Nation.
